Minimum Individual Fundraising Pledge**


**Climbers or Walkers who are part of a Corporate Challenge team will be required to raise $250 each, towards the minimum TEAM GOAL of $1,000 for a team of four (4) to participate.

Online registrations close at 11:59pm on Wednesday, 21 November 2018

All event participants receive:

Registration refunds and transfers

Registration fees cannot be refunded, but registration transfers are available.

Transfers must be completed on-line by Wednesday, 21 November completing and submitting this Registration Transfer Form

Note: All new climbers are still required to raise the minimum fundraising pledge ($50) to participate in the event. 



There are a range of event categories available to suit different levels of fitness or competitiveness and various types of groups.  

Walker (Social)
The Walker category is great for families or social teams. For those simply wishing to reach the 88th floor, this categories allows you to climb without racing. Walkers can take their time and be proud of making it to the top of the town! These participants do not receive a race time, so do not qualify for the fastest time event prizes, however do qualify for fundraising and best-dressed prizes! All 'Walkers' finish on Level 88 - Eureka Skydeck.

Climber (Competitive)
A Climber is a timed participant, aged over 12 years and receives an official race time. They are eligible to win fastest, top fundraising and best-dressed prizes. All 'Climbers' finish on Level 88 - Eureka Skydeck.

Elite Climbers (Competitive)
Elite stair climbing athletes should apply for one of just 20 male and 20 female spots available in this group of climbers. More info

Teams - Walkers (Social) / Climbers (Competitive)
A standard team must have four (4) team members. You can enter a team in either the Climber or Walker category. Each team member is eligible for fastest individual time prizes as well as fastest team prizes but can only qualify for team fundraising prizes.

Corporate Challenge (Competitive)
Any business can join this category! Corporate teams with a minimum of four (4) climbers per team are encouraged to participate in the Corporate Challenge. All Corporate Challenge teams will have access to the VIP marquee on the concourse for a posts climb celebration. More info

Emergency Services (Competitive)
Open to any Emergency Services personnel, including Fire Brigades and CFA, Ambulance, Police, SES and Australian Defence Force. More info

Full Kit Emergency Personnel (Competitive)
Open to any current emergency services personnel, wearing their full operational kit. More info

Paramedics (Competitive)
Open specifically to ambulance services personnel /paramedics and their colleagues. More info



Eureka Stair Climb races commence with the Elite Climbers from 6.45am and then in 15 minute intervals from 7am until approximately 1pm. Participants can nominate their preferred start time whilst registering.

Full Kit Emergency Personnel (Competitive)

12:15pm & 12:30pm  

Note: Participants are released one person at a time to reduce congestion in the stairwells. 80 participants are permitted per wave for both walkers and climbers. Once a wave is full participants are no longer able to enter that timeslot.



  1. Please keep to the railing whilst climbing the stairwell.

  2. If it is obvious that someone wants to overtake you, please allow them to.

  3. Do not push, shove or block other runners.

  4. Failure to maintain good sportsmanship will result in disqualification.

  5. Assist other climbers if they require help at any stage.

  6. Participants must be at least 12 years of age to participate in the Eureka Stair Climb.
